Fordingbridge Musical Theatre Choir will performance shows in Paris and at Disneyland

DISNEYLAND Paris is beckoning for a Fordingbridge choir after successful auditions have secured a performance slot next summer.

Founded in September 2023, Fordingbridge Musical Theatre Choir has previously acted as Gareth Malone’s backing choir at Poole Lighthouse in 2024, and entertained locals at lots of memorable community events including D-day and VE-day commemorations, Alderholt Fete, and the ever-popular Fordingbridge Christmas lights switch.

Now the choir has bagged a chance to perform further afield during a tour to France in June 2026, taking in a central Paris show and a performance at Disneyland.

Choir director Olivia Sparkhall said: “We’re so excited about this incredible opportunity to perform at such a prestigious venue. This shows how hard the choir has worked these last two years, and how far they’ve come as a choir.”

Fordingbridge Musical Theatre Choir is part of a national network of SingSpace choirs which welcome everyone from professionals to newcomers, with opportunities to try solos, complex harmonies and new singing techniques.
