First 'Drive In, Sit Out' cinema opens at Bournemouth Airport

BLOCKBUSTER films and sing-along classics will be on the agenda as the UK's first ‘Drive In, Sit Out’ cinema opens near Bournemouth Airport.

The programme of screenings, which includes West End classics, new releases and family favourites, will run from yesterday to Sunday 6th June at the Parley Lane site.

The audience will be able to enjoy their chosen film screening whatever the weather, with socially distanced seating areas provided for each car, and an opportunity to order street food for delivery to their area.

Broadcast on huge 50m HD LED screens, the programme includes blockbusters such as The Little Things, Godzilla Vs Kong, Wonder Woman 1984 and Golden Globe and Academy Award winner Judas and The Black Messiah.

There are also several family friendly options, including Warner Bros. Tom & Jerry, Scoob! and Roald Dahl’s The Witches.

Event organisers Flix have also scheduled West End favourites Kinky Boots, Hairspray, The Greatest Showman and The Rocky Horror Picture Show, with live theatre and circus performers to also set to appear.

Fans of Channing Tatum’s Magic Mike XXL will be able to see a team of live male dancers bringing the biggest scenes to life. There will also be a live DJ set ahead of every screening. Tickets are £32 per car which includes up to six passengers.
