Christmas fun for all at Regent Centre this December

DAZZLING live shows, festive films and theatre broadcasts are set to entertain at the Regent Centre in Christchurch.

The popular venue is promising to deliver a Christmas cracker of a programme with classic family films and seasonal concerts planned in the run-up to 25th December.

The King of Waltz will return to the big screen on Sunday 5th and Monday 6th December for the brand new Christmas with André concert, packed with festive favourites including Hallelujah, Jingle Bells, White Christmas and many more performed by André and his famous Johann Strauss Orchestra. Tickets are £20.

Another festive favourite will return on Thursday 9th December at 7.15pm when Tchaikovsky’s much-loved classic ballet The Nutcracker is broadcast live to the Regent’s big screen direct from the Royal Opera House in London’s Covent Garden. Tickets are £18.50 or £10 for children.

The annual Winton Salvation Army carol concert will return on Friday 10th December at 7.30pm. The hard-working band has around 35 members who rehearse each week to support the services every Sunday and also perform in Bournemouth Gardens throughout the summer. Tickets are £7.

The popular Glad Rag Production Company will return for their 10th year with the all-singing all-dancing Christmas Spectacular with 11 performances from Saturday 18th until Friday 24th December.

With stunning costumes and a fabulous blend of song and dance routines, this is a real treat for the whole family. Tickets are £18 or £60 for a family of four.

On Boxing Day the Regent Centre will celebrate its milestone 90th birthday with a screening of the original opening film, the Taming of the Shrew, starring Mary Pickford and Douglas Fairbanks. Tickets are free but booking is essential.

Theatre fans will have an opportunity to end 2021 on a high with a screening of Kinky Boots the Musical, recorded live at the Adelphi Theatre in London at 9.15pm on New Year’s Eve. Fancy dress is optional to step into 2022 in style. Tickets are £20.
