New Forest Eats ‘n’ Treats at Brockenhurst College to host more than 70 stallholders
BROCKENHURST College is set for its biggest Christmas market with more than 70 stallholders offering up unique artisan products.
New Forest Eats ’n’ Treats, organised by the college in partnership with New Forest Marque and tourism group Go New Forest, will be held on Sunday 17th November.
Christmas shoppers can browse and buy an array of unique, locally-produced products, while enjoying a mix of lively entertainment.
Stalls will set up in the college’s main hall and cafeteria, while mobile catering outlets serving a variety of hot food can be found on the lawn.
Vendors will include Mexicali, Tipsy Toastie, Arty Stan Pizza, Vaigai, Braai-B-Que and Waffaholic.
A licensed bar run by Pig Beer will also be on-hand bringing added Christmas cheer.
Leading local chefs will host demonstrations in the college’s fine dining restaurant kitchen, which will transform into a culinary theatre.
Topping the bill will be Dylan James, who is the new head chef at Careys Manor Hotel in the village.
He cooked for the late Queen and other royals when he worked at the renowned Goring Hotel in London’s Belgravia.
Entertainment on the day will come courtesy of student performers and well-known local singer-songwriter Carley Varley, as well as New Forest Rock Choir.
Christmas decoration-making and writing-to-Santa activities will also be available to keep younger visitors amused, and there will be a raffle with prizes donated by local businesses including Marwell Zoo, Paultons Park, Careys Manor and Cycle Experience.
Head of marketing and communications at Brockenhurst College, Rebekah Donawa, said: “Eats ’n’ Treats is one of the biggest public events in the Brock calendar, and this year we have even more stallholders than ever before.
“Over the last six years, this festive community gathering has grown into an even more varied and enjoyable pre-Christmas family day out, with something for everyone.”
Entry to Eats ‘n’ Treats, which will run between 11am and 4pm, costs £2 per adult, with children under 16 going free.
There is no need to book, visitors can just turn up on the day. Parking is available onsite.
