THE popular two-day BrockStock Festival returns later this month with a packed programme of live music and entertainment.

There will be live music from 13 bands throughout the weekend – selected to reflect a full spectrum of musical tastes. This year’s line-up includes Static Tandem, Soldoro, The Underdogs, The Vernon Principle, Absolute Block, Behind The Mask, Red Jackson Duo, Route 66, Horizons, Sirpico and The Soulsonics.

There will also be a debut performance from Abzense, a group of students at Priestlands School covering some ’70s and ’80s rock songs, and Rick Jones, singer/songwriter and undoubtedly Jersey’s finest solo acoustic artist.

Event spokesperson Bronya Szatkowska said: ”The festival has something for everyone, in addition to great music there is a food court and tea garden, including barbecue food, authentic dishes from Britannia Thai, fantastic sweet and savoury waffles from the Waffle Wagon and delicious New Forest Ice Cream from Brock Ice.”

Revellers can also enjoy a selection of real ales, beer, and ciders, Pimm’s and prosecco.

There will be plenty to entertain families with a huge range of stalls, games, activities and a large inflatables area.

Bronya continued: “The festival is aiming to be as environmentally friendly as possible and reducing the amount of single-use plastic. We have fantastic reusable polycarbonate cups that will be available at the festival.”

Entrance to the festival is £10 per day or £18 for the weekend. Tickets include a free reusable cup and there will be water stations available.

Visitors are encouraged to walk, cycle or use public transport to access the football club site on Griggs Lane. Bronya added: “The festival is dog friendly and fully accessible. We are looking forward to good weather and good crowds, so hopefully the sun will continue to shine on this fantastic community event.”
