Autumn Comedy at Mayflower Theatre and MAST Mayflower Studios, Southampton
STAND-UP legends and comedy club favourites will be on stage at Southampton Mayflower Theatre and Mast Mayflower Studios this autumn.
The busy programme has been drawn up to deliver a dynamic mix of comedy packed with side-splitting laughter and sharp wit.
The fun begins on Tuesday 1st October when football-mad funnyman Frank Skinner shares anecdotes from three decades of stand-up. Following a sell-out UK and Ireland spring tour, and after announcing a third run in London’s West End at The Gielgud Theatre, the comic legend will be in Southampton with his critically acclaimed new stand-up show, 30 Years of Dirt.
On Thursday 3rd October Stitches Comedy Club returns to Mast Mayflower Studios. Opening the show is star of Live at the Apollo Geoff Norcott followed by Mock the Week regular Angela Barnes. Headliner is American comedian Reginald D Hunter, and it will also feature comedian and compere James Alderson.
On stage at Mast on 16th October, Grace Cambell is On Heat. About to enter her 30s, Campbell has recently made some huge life changes. She got a dog, she stopped replying to internet trolls, she tried non-monogamy and, soon after, celibacy. Grace has been on a journey to find out who she wants to be as a grown-up. Bound to be fiery, unhinged, but also, a more mature Campbell, as seen on BBC, Channel 4, Comedy Central and Dave.
Sarah Millican is set to appear at Southampton Mayflower Theatre on 20th October and 10th November. In her new show Late Bloomer, Sarah looks back on her childhood when she wouldn’t say boo to a goose. Quiet at school, not many friends, no boobs until she was 16. Now she is loud, with good friends a “cracking rack” and goose booing all over the shop in the brand-new stand-up show Sarah explores how one became the other.
Other shows include Maisie Adam: Appraisal in which the star of Have I Got News For You will be looking back on her comedy career to date. Join her for the ultimate performance review on 19th October at Mast.
Finally, Scottish comic Fern Brady is back on tour with a brand new show I Gave You Milk To Drink. Fern will be at Mast on 20th November.
