We are seeking full-time, highly motivated team-players to carry out interesting and varied duties within the Council’s Estates & Facilities team, that may involve working one weekend per month.
As part of the team, the successful applicants will carry out maintenance & improvement work to all council-owned facilities, including sports grounds and open spaces to the highest standard along with assisting with planting and maintenance of RHS gold award-winning floral displays. As well as assisting with various town events.
Previous experience of grounds maintenance work would be an advantage, but full training will be given to the right applicants. The ability to deal with all facility users in a polite and clear manner, along with good time keeping, is essential.
A full clean driving licence is also a requirement of the post.
The starting salary will be £19,698 (scale point 6) based upon a 37-hour week that may include working one weekend per month.
