Police release efit of man suspected of knifepoint mugging

Police released an efit of the suspect they want to trace

POLICE have issued an efit image of a knifeman suspected snatching cash, bank cards and a phone from a woman in Gore Road, New Milton, last Friday night.


The victim, who is in her 50s, was targeted by the male robber between 8.20pm and 8.25pm near New Milton Health and Leisure Centre.

Brandishing the blade, he demanded she hand over her property before escaping with £130 in cash, along with a mobile phone and the woman’s bank cards. She was not injured in the incident.

Her assailant is described as white, aged 20-30, 5ft 10/11ins tall, thin build, with very short hair, heavy facial stubble and bushy eyebrows.

He was said to have had a distinctive tear drop or heart tattoo near to his left eye.

He was wearing dark trousers or jeans, a dark Puffa jacket, brown boots and a tartan scarf. The victim also recalled he smelt of cigarettes.
