A FLOOD warning has been issued for today (Tuesday) and tomorrow in Beaulieu.
The Environment Agency said this afternoon’s tide between 2pm and 4pm would be higher than normal due to unsettled weather and southerly force-five winds.
It warned the tide could flood into the garden of the mill house on the downstream side of Mill Pond, with minor flooding of Palace Lane “making access to the village temporarily more difficult”.
The government agency also issued an alert for tomorrow (Wednesday) with heavy rain set to raise the levels of Mill Pond during the high tide between 2.30pm and 4.30pm.
It urged those walking or driving through the village to take extra care as “the incoming tide will flood the main road quickly”.
