TWO men will appear in court charged in connection with a five-vehicle crash at Hurn which involved a sewage tanker and left two motorists badly hurt.
Two Mercedes – one blue and one black – were involved, along with a red Toyota Yaris, a Yamaha motorcycle and a tanker carrying human waste.
The tanker driver, a 53-year-old man from Poole, suffered serious leg injuries which were described as potentially life-changing. He was taken by ambulance to Southampton General Hospital for treatment.
A 35-year-old Eastleigh man, who had been at the wheel of the blue Mercedes, was taken to Poole Hospital with serious spine and leg injuries.
Now two men have been issued with postal requisitions to appear separately at Poole Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 15th September.
Jonathan McCormick (35), of Alexander Square, Eastleigh, will face a charge of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
