SIR – Let's avoid this unimaginative planning disaster.
SIR – I fear that the rush to avoid a refusal of the current planning application for Lymington’s Town Quay toilets may lead to a compromise.
SIR – The excellent letter from Mr Bowman drew attention to the cliff erosion at Barton and the need to protect the foot of the cliff.

SIR – It was very encouraging to walk into Lymington to see the town full of people enjoying the chilly sunshine with shops open at last.
Normally the sea wall is a lovely friendly place to walk. The following event is most unusual.
The more you publicise volunteer “pickers” clearing rubbish from local beauty spots, the problem will not be solved.

SIR – I read with interest your article about the national park authority’s (NPA) plans to restrict pop-up campsites in the New Forest.
SIR – My 2021/22 council tax bill from New Forest District Council shows an increase of 4.7% over the bill for the previous year.
SIR – Although we all regret the collapse of a part of the castle, it is important to see this change as part of the natural evolution of the coastline and to recognise that although it would be possible, with large amounts of money, to “hold back nature”, in the end it is much better to work with rather than against nature...
SIR – Much as I empathise with the general point made by Caroline Harris (Letters, 26th March) that we all should be “kind in these unforeseen difficult times”, I would take issue that robust criticism of our political leadership by media and others should be muted...
SIR – It was interesting to note that 21st March was the International Day of Forests , celebrating and raising awareness of all the wellbeing benefits of forests and trees around us...
SIR – Jon Bray ( Letters , 19th March), regarding visitor rights, raises the interesting philosophical question: what is the New Forest for?...
SIR – This will most likely hit a nerve with most of us and it is about the council tax we pay...

SIR – Anyone who has walked along the Milford to Barton clifftop over the last few years will certainly have noticed the alarming advance of the cliff erosion. I would guess that the pathway has been pushed back at least 50ft in some places over the last five years...
