AFC TOTTON have introduced four new signings to bolster their squad for the 2020/21 season.
After Glenn Howes joined the club from Blackfield & Langley last month, the Stags have also announced two new Watersiders signings. Goalkeeper Lewis Noice joins Totton after an impressive two-year spell at Gang Warily while 28-year-old attacking midfielder Sam Griffin also makes the swap.
In addition to the Blackfield pair, Howes has brought in 20-year-old prospect Lewis Waterfield from Eastleigh. Waterfield made two substitute appearances for the Spitfires last season in the National League.
Waterfield reacted to the news on Twitter as he posted: “Looking forward to getting started! Fingers crossed not long now.”
Former Reading, Aldershot Town, Rotherham United and Torquay United striker Brett Williams also makes his return to the Snows Stadium.
Williams featured for the club in the 2009/10 season and became their fourth signing this week.
The 32-year-old goalscorer spent last season in the National League South playing for Weymouth. On AFC Totton’s website, he thanked his former club for their help in these discussions.
Brett has joined as a player for next season, and he will be involved in AFC Totton’s new academy with Pro-Direct. The club’s new academy will be starting in August 2021 for school leavers who want to follow a career in sport and education.
The club also announced that top-scorer Craig Feeney and captain Jack Masterton will return to the club for next season.
Feeney, who netted 21 goals last season, will play alongside their new striker Brett Williams while Masterton will look to keep his influential role in central midfield.
